Soil information model (BIM)

The soil information model (BIM) provides all soil input data (e.g. soil texture, soil moisture) necessary for modeling in the appropriate format.

Basis for this:

(i) the data collected in the project,
(ii) the data provided by the offices, and
(iii) freely available data like BÜK 200 and SoilGrids 250.

Where available, measurement data is used. The missing data, such as the values of the usable field capacity on a regional scale, are calculated in the soil information model using various pedotransfer functions.
