Research area

The study site is located in Adenstedt, in the southern part of Lower Saxony and in Hohenschulen (Kiel).

The main crops are sugar beet, silage corn and winter wheat. To investigate every crop in every single year, 4 fields were selected for the detailed studies in SOILAssist. Furthermore there is close contact to region’s farmers. In addition, there is close contact with a number of farmers in the region. Further investigations are taking place on their fields.

In the second project phase, a new study area in Hohenschulen has been added.
